I noticed this moving in the afternoon on news about the Ferguson case reached a verdict. It was forming a flat top wedge, but I was too early on my first entry. It wasn't coiled up enough. Also the spread was very wide, which I should know better than to try to trade stocks with wide spreads. I also had too many shares. <-- A lot of mistakes here.
The second buy was a 3rd tap on the flat top and it broke, but didn't have a lot of juice and I sold 1/2 into a spike, moved my stop to entry price and ended up getting stopped out.
This would have been ok if I was more patient with the setup (not taking the first trade), but in reality I should have not traded this at all.
