Which time frames do you use to time your entries? 5min? 10min?

Great trade. Congratulations. 4 points per share / ca. 5% gain is quite amazing.

I only use 5min for entries. I check Daily chart for potential targets. I don't really use 10 and 30m, Tradervue allows 4 charts so they are there.

I know $4 gain sounds big but I size a position based on the risk taken so to me a $4 points/share gain with $1 risk isn't any significant than a $1 point gain with $0.25 risk. I'd prefer risking 10cents to win $1 :-) I'll use bigger size to compensate for that smaller volatility.

I've never paid attention to the % gain and never knew why we needed to. I'm not sure what I've been missing ?!

i don't think you miss anything.
you can weigh something in pounds or kilos.
you can also measure a price move in cents / dollars (absolute) or in percentage terms (relative). there is no real difference, i think.
it is just a difference "scale".
