Initiated position to hedge against SPY weakness.

Failed to keep up with journal notes, but trade plan was a success. "Insurance" kinda hedge. SPY has been trending upwards towards very near ATH after continuous bullish movements after a deep pullback of the overall economy 6 months ago. Experience and indicators were showing slow down, as well as increasing sell pressure. To create a method for capital preservation, the idea was to keep this position open as a possible trade to recoup any losses from swing trading small cap and mj stocks.

Trades on those were profitable but minimal, so this "recovery" is much more significant than the P/L expresses.

Small lot sizes gave flexibility to adjust position size without realizing too large of losses. Significant opportunity found in SPY gave trade the ability to gain +200$ in a single day.

Will re-enter if SPY conducts a bull trap momentum pattern by EOD.

All in All - 8/10. Could of improved profitability if I locked in profits on the first pop to 36, and waited for the bottom to settle (25$).
