SPY Trade on Jun 3, 2014 09:36 from handycandi_BOWS: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

This was going to drop like a rock (it hit new highs yesterday, stochastics are way overbought), so I shorted at open. In retrospect, I didn't have a pattern, but I convinced myself I could buy because this was moving through the VWAP, which isn't really relevant at all. This went up after I bought it, but I am comfortable with that, even if I have to hold this for a few days.

Stop around $193.50, target around ?

Took out my stop of $193.65, so I reversed (accidentally buying 200 instead of 100). Then I realized I had had no set-up, so I set my stop at the buy price. It hit a new high and bounced there a few times, so I reversed my position again, giving me a better (or higher, anyway) entry price on this when it drops, which should be soon? Stochastics show this is still WAY over-bought. Only now I don't know what my new stop should be, so this was kind of stupid. I should have waited and watched...

6/6 This gapped way up this morning, and I panicked as usual. I got out when the second bar was green... but I hit the wrong button (I get mixed up when I'm shorting) and accidentally shorted some more shares, and then didn't realize I had. When I figured this out a few minutes later, I dumped all the shares. Then, because it was going up, I thought it would be brilliant to buy some shares, even though there was no set-up, but then I dumped those 20 seconds later when the candle turned red.

I know what I have to do: short when this is up AND there is high volume, then set a stop and wait. Instead I'm freaking out and jumping all over the place like Daffy Duck. If I'm going to swing trade a stock, I can't obsessively watch it all throughout the day.
