I tried to short CRM twice today. This is particularly bad on my part. It was distinctly in the am trading plan that a long at 155. CRM hit this level right away and that gave me a reason to think that the level would fail on the next test. I didn’t limit in that may have slowed the thinking down enough to watch the tape a little better.
However, on the second trade, I did see a big buy on the tape that led me to believe that he was lifting the stock to the 177 level. I honestly have no historical data that would tell me this is how to see this kind of overhead buy of such a large lot.
The Risk was well managed on both trades. But, the first trade was totally against what I wanted to do at that level. When I think them through I hesitate. When I hunch I trigger at bad prices that are more difficult to handle. It has been a total turn around to what I was doing with the 65% ratio that I was running in April and I cannot figure out what the differences are.
