KBH
Support play
Intraday Fundamentals
The company beat estimates on slightly lower revenue and the raise the full year guidance. I watched LEN the other day as well and it seemed the street likes how these homebuilders were positioned going into the last half of the year. For LEN, they reported before some housing data and took a hit after the positive overnight action and failed hold above 50 until the report came out.
Technical
“This stock has had a recent downturn and a break of the trend that it has set up over the first half of the year. The pre-market action is back above this trendline. The 25 price level has acted as resistance several times over the last twelve months and the stock is also trading above that level as well.
27 has also acted as a pivot point quite a few times over the same period of time mostly before 25 became resistance and again with the recent break above 25.
Resistance 25.60, 26.50 and 27.00
Support 24, 24.80 major 24.50
Trade Management

I hit a trade on KBH this morning. It is trading up on raising guidance and a beat. I had put in trading prep the support levels at 24.80 and 24.60. I told myself that a long at 24.60 would be the best play for a long around the opening. The price pierced that level briefly. I did not watch the tape very long here as price was moving away pretty quickly. I entered again on a B@A order and got filled at .73 with a stop at .55.
. I trailed the stop up to break even as the price started holding above .90 and then to .89 as the stock started holding above 25. I moved the stop two more times before settling it at 25.40. I will admit that I feel real comfortable with this exit strategy. I really could not have squeezed much more out of this trade on the exit and only another 6 or 7 cents on the entry.
