I got the PTC idea from Steve in the SMB morning meeting. His bias was long and I had noticed the 75 level from previous years being important. 10 minutes in to the open it had traded down to this level and I wanted to take advantage, so I put an order in and got filled 74.99, it quickly went against me and traded down to the 73.5 level, I wasn’t quick enough with my hotkeys so I got out at 74.6 for a pretty substantial loss (39cents, substantial in my books). I broke my rule about not trading the open. I tried my long thesis again at 10:21am, bought at 74.36 but got stopped out 11 seconds later at 74.24.

Yeah SMB Capital, they trade different kinds of strategies but they all revolve around stocks that are "In Play" which means a recent unexpected catalyst (raised guidance, improved margins, government investigations, new prodcut, new business model, high pre-market volume, high RVOL) So far their course is pretty on par with their free content but I'm not finished going through it yet. You mostly pay for access to their Real time platform, scanner and access to forums...
Nice try man. I tried trading that stock. I made $58 dollars.

I assume SMB is SMB capital?
What is their course like? I've listened to a lot of their guys talk and they seem to have a good grasp on the markets.
What methods do they focus on for trading?
