I noticed VGR from my morning scanner. I had lots of pre-market volume and has been in play since Friday. The catalyst behind Friday’s: VGR was added to the S&P SmallCap 600 index (took place of Tetra Tech who got moved to the S&P MidCap 400 index). This means that ETFs who track this index need to buy VGR, hence the move since Friday. VGR had an incredible OD gaining $1 (from 11 to 12). I picked up a tier at 11.86 after consolidating below its high. I sold half into the high resistance at 12.11 and sold the other half after a strong down move from the high at 11.84. I’ve been watching the stock all day; it looks a lot like the DBD trade I did last week! I trended down the rest of the day.
