On the 15min chart, if I applied what Gabriel Brent taught in the Thursday Trading video (posted 7/11/2014), then I would have observed that the green bar (prior to the open) created a localized low (pin bar).
My signal would've waited to see a GREEN candle and then waited to see the next RED candle, which occurred in the next minute (9:34 AM). That would've given me the parameters to go short or long, depending on the trend established during my PM analyses.
My mistake here, on the 1min chart, was selling too soon and on the localized low. A breakout trade that failed, since I got stopped out. PA went north to 20 ticks and then retraced (created a rally from which to sell).
