-today AAPL was gapping up +0.49% in the pre-market and was above Y-High (pretty bullish signals validating that there would be a 2nd-day move

-$800-900; 6% of starting NLV
-two attempts, both losers; when sticking with trades, two attempts is the max

Recap:
-plan was to get long; missed the opportunity on the open when price shot above PM-high; wanted to get in but had to restart TWS as it wasn't pulling mkt data. This could've been prevented if I was at my desk earlier
-after this I quickly began looking for the backside, and entered prematurely (literally on the break below VWAP, thats reserved for downside/negative catalysts scenarios)

What did I do well?
-actively scale-out to reduce risk when I wasn't getting the price action expected

How could I have traded this better?
-not shorting a strong stock in uptrend that had a catalyst on Day 2; esp given >1 ATR move on the open
-know that the backside of a stock with a catalyst will look different, and the backside will occur later in the morning session (after 11a)
