Proper risk management allowed me to profit from series of trades. RIMM 16.40 short was the spot (5dma) risk 10c as did previous entries. Covered at the whole for 40c profit.

Nice job sticking with this one and keeping your head in the game after it beat you up a couple of times!

You are a stronger man than I. Once I lose I always sit back and wait for a new setup on a new day to confirm I'm not revenge trading. This one looks like it worked out well for you though! BTW you posted a comment on one of my trades. I uploaded all my comments from April and will be doing March tonight. Check em out and feel free to comment/critique!

Interesting you mention that, ckz. I actually added an item to my trading plan a while back that said:

"Don't give up on ideas if they don't work immediately; give them a chance to develop. Set alerts so I don't miss them."

I found that if I had an idea that I was confident in, but it didn't work on the first try and stopped me out, then if I kept watching it I would often have another opportunity. I would quit if it didn't work after 2 or 3 tries - but very often my original idea was correct and the second or third try would more than make up for the initial loss.

You're right, though, there's a fine line between that and revenge trading, so you have to make sure you're on the right side of that line. :-)
