SPY setting up at the highs with a lot of reports on earning coming through. TSLA made a big move after hours with a notable beat. It did come up to around 20%. I had a short shorter-term thesis but kept the notable numbers in mind. This ended up a small loss / flat overall trade in my books. I did scalp the LOD break included in this overall trade with success. I also did flip my thesis for a long but did not trade it.

RVOL - 2.51
Avg Vol - 7.23M
ATR - 8.00
Short Float - 25.51%

Trade Review
I entered here with HOD fail and price getting below vwap for a core position. I scalped the LOD of the day with good execution. I tried to hold this as a second tier but price reversed for a small gain. I later stopped out of my core position.

Looking back at my executions and overall trade management this can be self graded as a C. I failed to remember in my trade that the fundamentals were heavily on the buying side of things. Preparing for the session I loosely kept in mind that this was a move2move trade not a trade2hold knowing the fundamentals. I forgot about this and proceeded with the extended short bias which led to my mistake in getting back in the trade after a small gain stop out for my core eventually. I did not emphasize in on the reversal candle and early trend change. Tape reading I'm only noting that at key levels there was a lot of shares being traded and the order flow pace was very rapid with order blocks of 1M+.

The correct reason to exit here (and stop trading short) was to recognize that there was a price target hit, the downtrend was broken, and the selling dissipating.

Will be replaying this on the weekend review on TOS OnDemand.

TOS OnDemand Trade Replay/Review
Adding my trade replay here to correct my mistakes. I executed the trade as mentioned in the correction solution above. The main difference here was that I was eliminating my short bias and paying attention to the levels + overall stock picture. The replayed exit strategy resulted in a small gain but kept me out of the losing trade and helped me successfully recognize + correct my mistakes.

Bonus TOS OnDemand Replay for 10/25/19 long trend trade above key level and break of pre-market highs after earnings (to add once data is available to replay)

I did replay this long trend trade to see how I would of done against the key levels. I ended buying the break of 308 and stopped out after the volume spike and proceeding declining volume + price consolidation at 312. Small gain here but need to consider getting back in after a failed bear break and making a new HOD. Keeping this in mind as the chart trended all day. Just would need to give the position more room to run. Noting that every push up from consolidation confirmed with increase in volume. (key item to look for)
