Intraday Fundamentals
• Pinterest Inc. said losses widened in the third quarter as costs and expenses more than doubled, sending shares sliding 19% in after-hours trading Thursday.
• The online image-sharing company posted a loss of $124.7 million , or 23 cents a share, compared with a loss of $ 18.9 million , or 15 cents a share, in the comparable quarter a year ago.
• Excluding stock-based compensation, amortization and other costs, Pinterest posted a profit of 1 cent a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected an adjusted loss of 4 cents a share.
• The company had global monthly active users of 322 million, growing by 28% from last year. Its user growth came primarily from its expansion into new international markets, while the number of monthly active users in the U.S. dropped 8%.
• Pinterest said that it expects to spur growth domestically by attracting a more diverse advertising base through initiatives that would promote shopping on its platform and appeal to small to medium-size businesses.
• Pinterest is spending more advertising dollars on attracting small to midsize firms in particular because it views them as a pipeline for Pinterest's improved and expanded offerings, Chief Executive Benjamin Silbermann said in a call with analysts.
• Pinterest has rolled out several new features for advertisers over the past few months, including customer insights and improved ad targeting using demographic and geographical considerations.
• "To capitalize on the commercial intent of our users, which aligns advertisers with what users are on Pinterest to do, we've got to deliver relevant promoted content," said Chief Financial Officer Todd Morgenfeld , adding that this will help attract more advertisers.
• The company said it is still in the early stages of product developments.

Adjusted losses before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization are now projected to be between $30 million and $ 10 million , compared with its previous guidance of a loss of $50 million and $25 million .
• Pinterest went public in April priced at $19 a share, and made its debut in the public markets at $24.40 a share. The company's lockup period expired on Oct. 15 , and some investors took the opportunity to unload their shares. Shares were trading around $20 aftermarket on Thursday.

Trade Management
I need to start by saying the I did not write a plan on this due to watching an video about trading before the market opened. In hindsight, the information in the video was not that impactful and I should not have trade until I had some “if, thens” set up.
I committed to stepping back up in risk after having a 14 day run working the new entry system. In that time I was able to make up every time even when I was way behind. I knew that I would be a bit more anxious. Although this will look bad in the recent stats and seem like an outsized loss, the truth is that it would have been in line if I would not have come back to this level. At the end of the day, I felt like I blew it. However, looking through this I actually feel more confident about stepping up the risk even though this has been my biggest loss on a single stock in more that a month.
I wanted to long this if it held its IPO price. I took the long early and it cut 19. At that point, I was convinced that it was not going to hold the price and start shorting this. I got myself in trouble. I tried to countertrend and short resistance all morning. When I would try to get trend side I would slapped. I trade on tilt for a bit recovered. But, then I found myself revenge trading for bit to. These two things are what made this really seem worse to me that it really was. As matter of fact, I hit a large short of 7 cents of the top and although this made up a lot it could have made the whole day back plus some. It would have only taken this one. That is why I trade with the tight stops that just seemed to keep slapping me today with the new sizing it made it a little harder for me to use a proper stop once something was working for me.
I think the best way to review this is just to bullet point what I learned today, or what I needed to remind myself
• Trying to catch the top is not something to do before the closing hours.
• If the market is strong because of a macro.. most stocks are going to be strong
• Just because most of the IPOS that I have seen this year have failed after breaking their IPO price does not mean that all will
• Trading larger entries are not going to be as clean, I will need to prepare for that mentally
• If you get bad fills, tap out faster and reassess
• Be more careful about sizing up as the volatility slows and the spreads come in
• If I use the bathroom for even 30 seconds. Set a stop loss.. 40$ of this loss was unnecessary
• Don’t that flip your bias that many times.
• Walk away when you notice you are cussing at the level 2
• There were a lot of well managed trades in here… be consistent
• Be careful what chatter you let into your head
• Lastly… growth comes from discomfort if not PAIN
