Strong daily chart, looking for a break to 10.
Broke out on heavy volume above and was holding 180 SMA at open, looked like it wanted to hold and continue higher after breaking above $9.50.
Break below SMA around 10 cents a share.
Continuation to $10 and possibly higher.
Got in at the break of $9.50. Was patient and waited for it to hold or break. I had SMA and half dollar support to help me.
Chill. It was a name on the watchlist with a nice daily chart setup. Wasn't the best setup out the gates but had a chance and was low risk so knew losses would be small.
Played this out the gates just like I would a low float momo runner. I didn't check the float or market cap on this when I should have. But even if I did, I don't think that would have kept me out of the trade.
Stuck to my plan through and through.
Study the open of these overextended mid and large caps or just leave them all alone for now. TEVA has a float of 1.05B shares and a market cap of 9.81B. This is completely outside my wheelhouse and I probably shouldn't even be trading this name at all.
