Daily Report Card
-morning prep: A
-market prep: B
-stock prep: A
-level of focus: A

Rationale:
-DE reported mixed earnings results on 11/27/2019; beat Q4 revenue estimates and met EPS estimates but issued FY2020 profit warning
-fresh news on this day of trading as BofA downgraded DE

Trade Strategy:
-short as price consolidates / holds below / retests 166 (PML) or 165 (daily level)

How much risk should/did I take?
-79; 0.6% of NLV
-appropriate as I did not have much conviction

Recap / Trade Management:
-right before 10a DE rallied above the PML before getting rejected at Day 1 lows and breaking back below VWAP
-after price broke below VWAP, it consolidated below VWAP before retesting it from the underside, I entered position right after retest
-only entered 1 tier as I was not sure if trade would work out
-didn't like the way price didn't close at the lows on Day 1, or how price broke back above PML and put in an intraday high around 10a, especially given how weak the market was
-price was also above its open price and above the 165 daily level, think there is a better chance of continued downside if price is below the open (& PClose) and also below an impt daily level
-price was above PML when I entered (but I did not realize this is in real-time as the premarket range was extended downwards right before the market open)
-XLI & market supported bias but this name couldn't trend lower
-there were no other areas with sideways consolidation that provided a potential entry point
-165 level provided solid support throughout the day, if volatility continues to increase this week, 165 support could fail in the coming days and provide a better short signal (on retest or consolidation around the level)

What did I do well?
-keep risk small by only entering 1 tier
-during the trade I didn't have the most conviction given that price was above the open and daily level, so I took a very small gain and moved on

How could I have traded this better?
-NA; potentially stay out of the name given I shorted when price was above PML, but did not notice this in real-time

What did the tape look like during the most important moments intraday?
-NA

Where could I have been responsibly bigger?
-NA, no areas where I could define my risk given price stayed within PM range and 165 daily level

Gain/loss relative to expected gain/loss:
-net gain of $1.01; wanted to lock in a small gain / the spread given my conviction continued to diminish after I entered the trade
