Stock was gapping up 200% and on the opened it sold off and had a huge red candle. It was having some resistance at $6 so I put what I thought a fantasy order in at $6 when it dropped to about $5. I didn't have any day trades left so I thought I could swing this if my order filled. It filled and then skyrocketed. It consolidated around $8 so I added to my short and then skyrocketed again. After the major selloff at 2:00 my broker put in a margin call and closed out half my position thankfully at the bottom of the afternoon dip. I called the broker and asked what this was going to do to my account because I had no more day trades left and they allow for a one time override.
Day 2 I thought there would be some support on the SSR line but it kept going down. I covered half my remaining position at a fantasy line of $5.50. Will hold the last 100 shares for continuation downward.
