Very promising trade 100% wrecked by Ameritrade's Thinkorswim having disastrous latency at market open today. Order fill not reported for a solid minute after submission, had no clear idea I was even in the trade. When it finally pinged to indicate my entry, I was up ~ $1.00+ / share, and attempted immediate exit; this too only reported execution/fill substantially later. There doesn't seem to have been any unusual delay in execution, just in reporting such. Had I enjoyed usual platform performance, my nerves wouldn't have been rattled and I could have actually executed this based on price action. Going to be talking to TD about WTH happened today. I don't have anything constructive to say about the trade itself; it was win, but practically an accidental one....
