this trade was mainly a play back to vwap then shorted due to overall market at the time was selling off. It had news (although I do not know what it was) just that it was positive I need to do a much better job of news and understand of that and how it affects price. This is one of my first days in sim.

Based off your scalping style and execution knowledge you would do really well with trading the options on these. Ever considered options?

I have not im very new to trading. Im constantly learning through, I don't fully understand options most of my studying has been strictly day trading stocks.

I just saw that you replied to this. I recommend at least looking into what is possible with options. I was focusing on day trading stocks until i found options and i will not go back. Im in a group called Focused trades. Very good group to learn and grow with but also Tasty Trade has great content for options and a more conservative way to trade. Good luck with your journey.
