Reading the Tape

I am still working on keeping up with tape in this environment. There is often pretty obvious momentum. But, there was not a lot of stalling or hesitation in any one area that set off a trade.

Trade Notes

• AS this held 37.50 out of the open, I tried to take it long when it came up to 38. I gave this way too much room even for as volatile I expected it to be.
• After the opening drive failed and looked like it would keep going. I flipped to the short and took a quick win as it test 37 the first time and re-shorting as it showed weakness weakness coming back into VWAP and 37.20, I finished this series trying one last short off the same level with a small position low conviction that I add to hoping to account for the extra volatility in the market. But, It was a new local high instead.
• I tried to play this heavy on the second break of 38. I got myself in a bit of trouble trying to work an average on a large initial load. This set p did have a few positives working for it. Recent bounce off a tech level, on the same side as the SMA, a new higher low, it just did not work.
• I nailed this and should have held a little more of this. I took after the failure of my attempt to get the long off 38. A little reactive trade and maybe even a bit of a revenge trade. The momentum was pretty obvious though.
• A quick late to the game scalp after the rejection at 40
• This was a great set up. this should not have been a loser. This are the type of trades that need a little more room and a lot more patience.
• I got caught chasing this at first and then set it up well just off 40. and hacked my way into a lose that should have been a home run.
• I got caught chasing this at first and then set it up well just off 40. and hacked my way into a lose that should have been a home run.
• UGH.. I nailed this. This is purely a lack of patience. I should have tried to play this back to the VWAP test it was my target initially.
• I was looking for a new HoD if this would hold 39.
