NVDA Trade on Apr 28, 2020 09:30 from J_Matrix: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

I over traded the opening drive today on NVDA. The daily chart and the premarket setup definitely had me interested in this ticker. However, I failed to obtain any significant news catalyst. What got me interested is the price action from the few previous days that NVDA was very bullish to a point where is was over extended to the upside. In the premarket it broke out of a key whole number of 300 so that became the infliction point for me.

I wasn't settled with a bias at the open as it was trading above 300. I was anxious about that fact that I didn't exactly have an idea of how I wanted to take the trade. FOMO got to me early from the very first minute of the opening. I initially longed for a momo scalp which failed quickly. Then I realize that NVDA could in fact go for a profit taking day. I FOMO'd some more as the stock hover above 300 but under VWAP.

The real trade is to see that the stock has actually confirmed it self trading under the infliction point of 300 to engage. Eventually I brought my self to a calm and was able to execute the fade.

The lesson here is more patience and wait for the plan to come. I really started trading this ticker too early without a plan and that was really stressful for me. The fact that I keep staring at my PNL to make sure I don't hit the $500 daily stop on the name didn't help. I didn't access my risk properly before I started the trade and that was what caused my anxiety. Almost to a point of tilt.
