Facebook earnings and user growth miss expectations, but stock still spikes
-FB announced ER AMC on April 28th and was spiking very overextended.
-I notice that the spike had filled the gap from just when C19 Big Market drop happened dated back Feb 21st.
-Looking at prior days and prior weeks, FB had been on a study uptrend.
-These criteria all lead to me having the bias that FB was most likely to have a profit taking day.
-Premarket action also dictated a slow gradual fade with no buying volume.
-At 8am FB dropped below the after hours low and wasn't able to recover, 211.17
-By 9am FB dropped below 208.83 which was the low of Feb 21. That was the key infliction point I used to base off my opening short.
-Right at the opening I expected a cover pop and by the end of the 9:31st minute, the tape was looking really bearish. 9:32am was my confirmation and I added to my opening short risking prior high.
The 2nd entry took some patience as I waited for the correct setup with confirmation. By 10am and 1015am, FB started to form a steady down channel and my goal was to get short and let ride til either channel breaks to the upside or the morning LOD at 203.65. I got short coincidentally also at the VWAP on a retracement risking prior lower high from 1015am.
