for mean reversion trades i'm primarily looking for extension away from EMAs on 1 and 5 min charts. If also extended on daily chart its a higher conviction trade. Also looking for expansion of candles and increasing volume. Levels on daily charts also provide context; as in this case there was a gap fill which it extended into. If entry is on left side of trade (i.e. before a reversal I have a max risk number in mind - in this case was willing to risk about a point and a half). If entry on left side, new high is typically the stop.
