• Details:
  Intraday flag breakout. As you can see from 11:30am to 1:30pm the stock was flat, then broke out to the upside so this play was a break of the consolidation flag from the previous breakout as well as a new high of the day. It was also towards the end of the day so I expected it to run into the close, which it did. Overall good trade. Should have hammered it more though, 500 shares was too small. Should have hit it with 1k or 2k based on my account size and the risk/reward profile of the trade. Also I could have made it a little better by entering with a downtrending support line breakout instead of a flat one (that would have put me in the trade around $6.74 and gained me an extra 4 pennies)! Had I held this stock overnight I would have seen my original target of $7.34 the next day, and I should have done so, since the next day I tried trading it again for that half and lost everything I made on this day + more. Lastly, since the last breakout at 1:30 ran for about 18 cents a more reasonable target would have been $6.96, which is actually exactly where it topped out before consolidating for the last hour of the day.
