IPO so moves different than market so had it on watch. Looked strong, held levels through the day. Had a crazy spread so tried to go in small with stop under clear base it kept bouncing off. Added more when it started going while still having a good avg. First sell was horrible. Saw it spike but not really a spike in comparison to the bigger picture (which I struggle with. A 25cent move from avg price on a 35$ stock is different than a 25cent move on a 10$ stock). Scaled out and was hoping for parabolic move through 35 but got stopped out before it happened. Had targets in mind but with the spread, it was hard to get filled so I would sell half of the amount I was going to sell at target on the way and then the other half at target or above which is why I have quite a few scale outs.
Need to be aware of bigger picture and on higher priced stocks, go for higher gains.
Reasons to sell: spike, 20ema crack
