Summary
- Was distraught with the idea of having 2 negative days in a row, and so after failing to be green during the morning, out of desperation I tried shooting for a hail mary short on Roku after it made a parabolic up move into the close; terrible, stupid idea. Ended up just making my day 3x worse, and blowing 3 days of daily stops. Given how strong Roku was throughout the whole day, while the rest of the market sold off, I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I shorted this stock :-/
Did Right
- I at least set stops, and honored those.
Did Wrong
- Should have never taken this trade, especially since I wasn't playing a known setup with edge; I was just spraying and praying to be honest.
Improvements
- Implement a daily stop solution for etrade asap using their API; I'm driving drunk without it.
