Summary
  • In play market stock that sold off during open; tried to catch reversal, but was using too much size on initial attempts front side, and wasn't able to compensate backside due to mediocre rebound.
  • Was hoping OXY would have relative strength given the BoA upgrade, but it was just as weak as the other market stocks (airlines, cruise lines, etc)
Did Right
  • Waited for known playbook trade to setup before entering trade
Did Wrong
  • Too much size on initial entries; should have suspected 1-2 failed rebounds due to major bullish day yesterday across the board.
Improvements
  • Be care not to let analyst upgrades/downgrades bias you; remember that price action rules all.
