Great idea, but I sold before it gave me a reason to sell.

Thanks, but I could have made 3X the amount of money if I waited for the 13EMA to break down. It was definitely trending and I sold before it gave me a reason to.
Hey winston...you definitely have your own unique mental challenges-like we all do. You should think of some Jedi Mind Tricks to help you meet your goals at least in a small way...and eventually the big ways will follow.
Like in this case, you may have been feeling"Whoa, wow it spiked! I better take my profits before they go away! %#$@!!!
Here is what I am proposing...that sell you had at 15.20...Its a great place, just don't sell all your shares. Even if you only keep 25 shares, you will start to train your mind to deal with the uncertainty of keeping some of your position open to possibly run further. If the stock drops .50 its only gonna cost ya 12 bucks plus what $5-$10 buck commision at the worst? but if it goes for more, you will be building the mental muscle to possibly let your next position like this run. and also, with practice you will find out that if it doesn't run...well you gave it a chance and it didn't work out. Next!
I hope this helps, and if it does, I retract my earlier offer of buying you a beer for saving me $30.
Good luck man!
Oh also, one other quick thing. Don't worry about the "I could have made 3X the blah blah blah" right now. PRACTICE THE CRAFT. Practice the craft of trading and the money will follow.
Thanks for the feedback Tom. It's all mental, and all about practice, repetition. No different from sports, chess, or playing a musical instrument. FOMO used to be a problem for me causing me to chase - I've focused on better entries and I think my entries have dramatically improved. Now FLOG is the next one I'm working on. :) Not to mention enforcement of stops. I should come up with a clever acronym for that one too!
