Profit/(Loss) With Commission: -------------------------------- $167.50
Details:
Daily range break, 2000 shares. I wanted to enter this at $4.81. The stock has a tendency to wick people out so I actually snagged 1000 shares at $4.71 on a wickout right after it tried to break $4.80. I then added at $4.81 another 1000 shares and sold my first 1K to lock in $100 profit, and moved my stop to $4.71 to make it a flat trade if the second breakout failed. This was a good trade overall, but there were a couple things I didn't like about it: First I don't know how likely it is I would have caught that wick where I did in this paper trade since I would have had to be extremely fast. Second, Selling half at $4.82 just illustrated a lack of confidence and racked up an extra commission charge for me. It was essentially the same as if I had never added my second 1K shares, so I should have just stuck to my original plan and waited for a proper spot to enter when the stock broke $4.80.
