Gee this looks a lot more gappy on the 5 minute than it did in TOS...
Pullback to the 9 ema and the previous high of day.
Stop under entry bar at 26.19, Target 26.96
BUT not a great setup to begin with, extended with lots of space between the ema's (VS tight and coiling)Already up 13% on the day. Also, I notice now when it wholly retraced an up move (like at 11:30)the retrace carried the stock a little further down. I've noticed this kinda thing before on other stocks, but didn't "see" it here.

Execution detail:

Date/time Symbol Side Price Position
2014-12-15 14:29:08 AIRT buy $26.300 long
2014-12-15 14:49:26 AIRT sell $26.190 0

what is the percentage of shorts vs. longs in your trading?

That's a good question. I tried to find an exact number in traderVue, but couldn't find it, if I do I'll get back to you. I will say that I am using the ThinkorSwim PaperMoney platform to SIM on and they have lousy shorts in general. Also (and this would skew the results if I could find them in TraderVue) I will sometimes buy Puts, when I want to short, Like today when I wanted to experiment with shorting GPRO. I am familiar with options and the various things that impact them, and is an area that I want to expand on when I get price movement mastered. But in general, and to my own detriment, because I don't want to hassle with uncovering what few shorts there are in ThinkorSwim, I am more often going long, at least recently.
In live trading, before BOWS I was also more long biased, but then again....we're in an uptrend, and whatever direction I was going, I was doing it via credit spreads usually

Hey Tom.. This stock is to extended on daily chart. Also the volume is daily volume is low on this stock. This is not a stock you would want to day trade. It can be hard to get in and out of stock with low trading volume. Trade the stocks with lots of momentum. Something like $CALA is the type of momentum plays you want to look for.
