Summary

Saw BYND putting in a pretty clean significant downtrend, and was just in the process of bouncing when I entered a position, a little bit late mind you, but it worked out as the stock kept going for a continued measured move up. I was trading scared here though, and quickly took profits at T1, and then a following measured move. Should have had a little bit more patience on this one as it went another $1.50 on me.

Did Right
  • Spotted a down trend on a hot beta stock, and joined, even though I was a bit late since the bounce was so powerful.
  • Took partials at T1 and measured move up, which was good.
Did Wrong
  • Sold all of my remaining position into the measured move, instead of keeping some for T2, or move measured moves. The bounce was still early on; should have given it more time.
Improvements
  • Have more patience on my exits; especially on these hot beta stocks.
  • Revamp stop move up process, to help me with staying in positions when I feel like I just can't handle a loss/red day.
  • Be more careful about not chasing stocks like this, with such large range. Hard to keep risk tight; I ended up taking $50 worth of risk on the trade to ultimately make $17
