Strengths from today's trading:
I believe our entry on this trade was acceptable however we should have taken into account the fact that the prior pivot high area/level $37.50 or so was our first target area. So before we had processed this bracket order we should've accepted the fact that this trade likely wasn't going to go to proper 2R completion.
Weaknesses from today's trading:
We failed to properly exit our position by EOD.
The consequence of failing to exit our position properly by end of day is significant.
Instead of getting stopped out at a 0.50% loss, we got stopped out at about a 1.50% loss.
So instead of taking a 1R loss on this trade, we had to withstand a 3R loss simply due to our negligence and ignorance.
How can you improve?
In the future we MUST double check the flattening of our positions by the end of day to ensure that we have safely exited ALL TRADING POSITIONS.
We must not leave any INTRADAY position on over night, as this can result in unintended consequences that we will have to pay dearly for.
