Summary

Was expecting some continuation from DOCU to the upside, and so was waiting for an entry signal on open. As soon as I saw a higher low + higher high on 1min, I entered once DOCU crossed the 1min 20ma. While this wasn't a bad trade, it wasn't really a good trade either. I shouldn't have considered that first push from the LOD a high, as it didn't really come back to the 1min 20ma. That in mind, I feel I entered this trade without solid price confirmation, which is partly why I was jumpy and took small gains quickly.

Got back into the trade, thinking the 1min 20ma was holding, but then it gave way due to market sell off, and I had to stop out, which I did. Was ultimately able to hit the backside, and salvage the trade, but waste of attention/effort for sure.

Did Right

• Although my entry signal wasn't good, I'm proud that I was actually patient and waited for one.
• Super proud of me stopping out, even though it took back some PNL. It allowed me to miss some downside, and positioned me to nail the backside for a win.

Did Wrong

• Stretched the definition of a good entry trigger; getting used to a 1min chart on open didn't help.
• Could have held my winner longer, when they were working.

Improvements

• Wait for better entry triggers on open
• Hold winners, until a reason2sell!
