Reason For Entry:

• Playing the Daily chart. Price action is testing a resistance level following a 3 and 8 EMA cross over the 20 MA. Price action is consolidating below its ATH. Earnings are on 8/6 and looking for a run up to the earnings date.

Reason For Exit:

• 8/5 - Closed half position in the morning for a small win. Holding second half with the intention of closing the full trade at EOD as earnings are tomorrow and I will not be holding through. 8/5 - Closed second half at the Target 1 area.

Recap:

• The setup was correct as price action gave a 3 and 8 EMA cross over the 20 MA with volume. Entered the trade in the buy zone (above yesterdays candle) and risked about 1% of the portfolio. Exited the position 1 day before earnings release. The exits were in the Target 1 area. Overall was a nice trade as price action continued higher after the initial entry.
