Trading Strategy
• This will open at an all time high, it is most likely will not close above the high of the morning
• You should be short bias on the day and look for shorts off either the tape or intraday levels
• Possible long near the PM low 129 ish,
• Stay on the same side as VWAP after this gives some levels after the open
• VWAP tests for scalps in the open and for move to move later in the day
Reading the Tape
This was way to spready for me to catch anything worthwhile on. But, this was setting up an range just under 140 on the first trade that seemed familiar to action of other stocks that I have seen.
Trade Management
Trade Notes
1030 EST I started with a solid anticipated break of 140 as the tape was holding some strength just underneath 140 and this level had just been broken. This suggested that this was only a small pullback after the initial break of the level. I took the trade prior to the rebreak looking to keep the RVR better if it did work. I would say that I should have bee recycling shares as this came back into 140. Or, I could have cleared and bought the third higher retest.
1130 EST
A very reasonable scalp long off 144. I got a great entry which tells me i was anticipating a spike and the tape helped me make the decision. But, I can still tel that I was apprehensive as I was sized small. This means that I was probably up enough in the first hour that I wanted to take trades conservatively.
1134 EST
I must have had read on the tape with these last tow trades. I think i gave up a little on the long leading up to this trade. But, this did seem like a pretty obvious rejection of 144.50 and a trend termination type of set up. But, there was way more here and I did not see that this was not that strong and bailed anyway.
