This was a pre-market runner, up on no news. For some reason it went all the way to 2.50 with a volume surge on nothing but air. I'm assuming it was wash trading and chatroom pumping to manipulate the stock as the float is only 8 million. I remembered from trading this in the past when I was starting out (and losing) that it was a POS and couldn't hold spikes. I shorted a little early, but size was small so I could easily average up with 100 lots. What sucked about this trade is that when it crossed the 2's, Interactive Brokers crashed on me and wouldn't let me add. I rebooted my computer, the TWS platform... and nothing. Was missing out on adds! So frustrating! I ended up calling IB and they refreshed the account, but by then I missed the juicy part of the move. I added a couple lots and just waited for the crash. I was still up nice, and didn't want to trade it regular hours as the float was small and didn't want to risk getting squeezed for some reason. Good trade overall. I hope there are more of these in the early pre-market. POS stocks up on no news with bad chart history of not holding intraday spikes! Love it!
