ECOR Trade on Jul 31, 2020 05:52 from reverselong: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

ECOR was going parabolic in the afterhours the day before. I wasn't trying to short this in the pre-market, but after 2 or 3 hours of straight downward fading in the pre-market I decided to take a starter short position. It started to go against me, so I dug into the chart history (I checked before, but went more in depth now) and saw the news from 7/13 which was the same as the news on 7/31. The news from before was the same and caused a spike and drop, so I was expecting a drop as well. The float was 30 million, plenty of shares at IB. Was expecting an all day fader and got it. With shorting, you can be a little early, just gotta take small positions when early. I could have been in and out of this all day as it bounced to 3 a couple times, but just wanted to keep profits while minimizing risk. This is easily my favorite kind of play and I look forward to more of these pre market spike and drops and all day fade. Beautiful.
