This stock faded late in the day, and I covered. Although I didn't lose too much I think maybe I had too many shares for my small account. Are there any ways to indicate if a PR breakout is losing steam into the late day? Can I stock consolidate too long?? Should I wait for a confirmation to enter going long? Please let me know. Thanks

I see the daily chart sucks... I think I'm having some trouble identifying stocks I should be trading as momentum names with clear chart patterns. I've been using Finviz & scanning for stocks jumping up at least 3% or more ATR over .25-50 and volatility over 3-4% for the week. What stocks should I concentrate on for plays. Do you play PR/earnings breakouts for several days after the intial pop? It seemed like a bunch of bio was in action, but they seemed very choppy to me. I thought I could leverage Zillow with 50 shares for smaller commissions and a day long consolidation. I can admit after your comments that I'm not taking into account the bigger picture of the daily charts before jumping into these. As I look on the daily it looks like it could be headed back down. Doesn't really look like a breakout now in hindsight...
