Idea, Entry, and Risk:

*Idea: FF/Downtrend past 10.20s
*Entry: 10.15 (small size due to earlier swing loss and broker loss cap)
*Risk: 1:3 (15c vs 45c, 10.30s vs 9.70s or lower)

Catalyst and News:

None. Overextension on earnings from last week.

Fundamentals:

N/A

Technicals:

Overextension on earnings from last week. Continued fails at multiple key levels (11.70s, 10.50s). Downtrend despite SSR triggering, though it slowed down a bit afterwards.

Summation:

Absolutely the right idea but fumbled due to very tight stop placed in by max broker loss. Had a dumb loss earlier on a poor swing (GME) where I failed to stop out properly due to poor execution on the exit.

Risk was actually towards 10.30s but size was too large for the idea I was using. Ticker tested 10.25s and failed again, failed again into new LODs, where I would have taken and gotten out (9.30s).

Takeaways:

-Sometimes easy divisibles are not the way to go. Actually would have been fine at 20 shares instead of 25. Been looking into sizing down since I have been on a red streak. Have been feeling comfortable in trades despite size and to offset borrow rates and minimal borrow amounts of 100s, but with how I'm trading it's time to adjust my scale.

-Went long a few beforehand but definitely still feel more comfortable going short. Getting a look at the other perspective helped but I still believe my edge is on this side.

-Getting back from a tilted routine.
