Two trades in LVS today...

  1. First trade was a long at 43.20 once .20 lifted and got filled at 43.19. I was risking .05c since I saw some buying on the Tape at .15 with a target of 43.40-ish. I let greed get the best of me on this trade b/c price did get to the high .30's, but I didn't take any thing off, which was a bad choice on my part. The worst part was letting this trade come all the way to my entry. So in the end, a costly mistake of .04c...

  2. Trade two was a better trade, but could of done a lot better on the entry as the ideal entry was 43.50-ish, where selling was more obvious. Once 43.50 broke, I actually had an order in front of .50, but the seller kept stepping down and couldn't get filled. So I hit the Bid at 43.41 with a stop at .51. My plan was to add below 43.33, which I actually did, but my platform was experiencing technical issues so I couldn't initiate any shorts.

Once price re-visited 43.19 I adjusted my stop to 43.33 b/c 43.19 was the prior area where buyers stepped up. If this level didn't hold my next target was 43.00. Once 43.10 broke, I saw some buying (support) on the Tape and I covered my short for 3 units if risk...

Nice work. Are you focusing just on this one stock, or are you watching other things as well? I've found that I do better when I focus on one thing, but I always wonder if I'm missing something better...

Thanks Greg...No it just happens to be that the last couple of days I was focused on LVS. However, I do focus on one to two stocks on any given day b/c I am able to focus on the Tape with much more clarity to identify key levels.

If you find you do better when you focus on one thing -stick with it. Forget about what you think you might be missing. As you get better incorporate more things into your trading, but keep it simple...Simplicity is KEY in trading.
