FB was the frustrating trade that took my loosing day just a bit to far into the losses. I wish I would have traded this better because I had made a key mistake that I will review that shows where my technical analysist was off and why it cost me a good trade

Most of my losses have been fairly small but today I had to import multiple 1R losers that add up. Not a big deal but I don't like the feeling and would like to avoid having so many consecutive losing trades moving forward.

The key mistake I made while drawing my pattern that I was planning to trade (either to the upside or downside) was that I was wrong with my upper descending trendline so I had thought that price action had begun to breakout to the upside where really we were just moving up to test that level and then was quickly followed by the conformation failure followed by a strong sell off. This sell off was in the original gap fill short plan and went exactly to this level, but I was focused on the small picture long scalp that led to a loser that then led to missing the good play.

It's important to note the structure of the trading day, where we had began to trend down and then consolidated. In this situation, a long position does not have good odds and I should have looked to join the overall trend, follow through with the gap fill and ignore any long play.
