WORST TRADE TODAY
(could have been my best)
MSFT partnership news
TBH i thought the news wasnt that great. but its a massive headline, and headlines matter
PLUS the stock has 100% short interest...
I don't even know how that's even possible or if its true.
But even if its 50% short interest a squeeze is on the cards.
when it comes off halt to goes from $9.20 to $11.40 in 20 seconds
it was so so fast then its on halt again
Unfortunately i wasn't expecting it to move so fast and had no orders on
When it comes off halt I give it a few minutes, and get in for 300 expecting another push up and possible another squeeze into another halt.
BUT im totally wrong in my thinking.
So 300 was too much here
Then I'm slow at adding in and add in 200 above VWAP instead of below, cos I'm expecting this to go soon
AGAIN its too much too soon.
Now I've 500 shares and Ive so much time to think about everything that can so wrong.
like i dont even like the news myself. i wanted a fast squeeze.
I look at the RSI and just focus on losing so i exit cos of fear, when there was no reason to exit, it was a beautiful pennant holding VWAP
It was a dream setup
then i enter again for the BO but im early again and quickly exit cos fo fear
im really pissed off and frustrated at this stage so i actually walk away cos im liable to do something stupid
This was obviously a mistake and if i just held in and tried the next BO id be in the money
SUMMARY
well it was a big miss, poor position sizing, poor management, poor execution
BUT ill learn from it and wont make the same mistake again
