My plan going into this trade today was to watch for a weak open and to enter on a break above the VWAP or a flag pattern forming afterwards. I went long 500 shares at 9.54 with a stop at 9.44. The stock had a beautiful rip up to 9.85 and I scaled out 100 shares at a time, saving 100 for lotto. At this point I shouldn't have been thinking add, it was way overextended and needed a deeper pullback. But, I added another 500 shares at 9.78 with a stop at 9.66. The stock began pulling back and I sold the remaining 600 shares right before it bounced off the 20 EMA at 9.63. At this point I should have really left it alone, but I stopped trading the chart and was only focused on making back the money I should have initially walked away with. I went long another 500 shares at 9.71 as it broke above the 9 EMA. I trailed my stop way to low and finally got out at 9.59 when it broke below the VWAP. I had a nice gain on this stock and turned it into a giant poo poo platter.
