Traded the open here and payed for it. There was no set-up, I was only chasing the spike directly into resistance. I entered 300 shares (way to big of a position for me at the open) at 9.28 and placed a stop at 9.08 which is where I exited. The stock bounced off the VWAP and flagged along the resistance, I entered another 300 shares at 9.32 and another 300 right after at the same price. I was overly aggressive and only focused on making money back instead of trading the chart, noticing a theme? I got lucky through the shake and bake as I did not have a stop in place. My mental stop was at 9.12. Luckily it bounced off the 20 EMA and I sold 200 shares at 9.50 into the spike. I re-entered another 500 shares (WAY to aggressive) at 9.48. I sold off another 300 into the second spike at 9.63. After the second pop was faded I exited the remaining 600 shares at 9.44 for a small loss. More patience and better timing and maybe this could have been a nice trade.
