The stock got quickly sold into the level 36.00 and retraced back to 40

The stock held level 40 after the gap up and quickly retraced. 40.5 was the R1 and a morning range, R2 was 41, and R3 was 42

Execution

I was playing off 40.50, the stock didn't make a big move the first time and I made a mistake in not covering where we broke 1 min trend and good exit was just below 40.50. Next S I was looking at was at 40.30 and I added on a retest. Exits were horrible I wasn't following my plan for potentials and partially because I didn't like prior price action I was scalling out too agressively.
