Another embarrassing trade. The best way for me to learn is to post it to be accountable in front of everyone. Last two trades have been an emotional sell. Thought process was right but apparently, 13seconds holding a stock is too long. I need to change this and go back to being disciplined, trading the set up and not the tape!

Stock had some earnings/PR, but everyone was short bias. The way it had given up all its gains pre-market had me short bias as well but I wait to get some direction and a set up i like to enter it in the morning. In this case, it opened strong, seemed to put in a top so was looking for a short entry but it grinded all the way down with no real clear entry. Once it had pb and started climbing higher, putting in a higher low, I got interested on the long side. But being still in its range, i wanted to see how it would react near the HOD. It was too extended at that point so I was either going to miss it or wait for a pb and see how it acts. It had chances to flush but didn't and kept being bought so when it made another higher low, I got really interested. Volume came in, I got in of the break of HOD/round #. Not sure why, but when it stalled within those 13seconds, I must have gotten scared and sold for scratch instead of giving it 1mn to see if it would just get stuffed and in that case, take the loss or if it would rip. It kept going for +75cents.
Didn't have a reason to sell, was between my target and stop loss, emotional sell based on tape. I need to trade the set up and not the tape which means, when it breaks a level, give it time to see how it reacts and then decide if it takes too long.
Very frustrating as this triple tap is one of my go-to set ups that I love and hope for every morning as they are powerful.

Reasons to sell: emotional, tape reading, not trading set up
