This was the most important trade of the day (week or month). This is the first time I broke my rules hard since the beginning of July. It wasn't a 100% break, but I jumped in a second time which I don't do.

The original stop was at 5.61. I stopped out....the 100% stop was at 5.71. It got stuck for a half hour (after running up) at 5.60....there was 10 cents to the stop an a dollar to go to the down side (at 5.00 it was solidly a 6:1)...so I jumped back in and reset my stop to the 100% stop level. It worked.

Key Notes:

  1. Don't break the rules anymore. Just because it worked once doesn't mean it is going to keep working
  2. Instead, I can look at this as a new strategy. Time to get back to back testing and analysis. The good news is it's a 6:1 profit/loss ratio...the bad news is they probably don't come along very often.
