Stock had increasing volume and held its highs yesterday. I was looking for some continuation or a failure at yesterday's highs. When it opened strong, I waited to see either a pb, hold of LOD or a lower high and a break of the LOD. In this case, it held and volume was higher than yesterday which means it is gaining momentum in the direction of the trend. When it started going, I got in, sold a bit fast but I did respect reasons to sell which were HOD, spikes, overextended and break of VWAP (nailed the bottom on that one but it was either going to be a sell at 2 or at 1.7). Also, once it pops, it is going to be heavily shorted so wanted to take some profit if it were to fade. I wanted to add at 1.7 off the flag but the stock jumped 7cents and din't want to chase as it was already extended. I sold early as I went for the base hit as there wasn't much momentum at first but that is why I scale out to be able to ride the winners even if my first few sells are fast.
