After yesterday's run I was looking for a squeeze above $6.00. When the stock gapped up to the 6.20s during pre-market I was looking for a long entry at the open. I scaled in 500 shares on the high-tight flag at 6.80. I scaled in another 500 at 6.76 and 1000 at 6.77. I was probably being a bit to aggressive but I figured the stock would have the juice to break $7.00 based on yesterday's run, the pre-market action, the opening strength, and the VWAP and 9 EMA holding as support while it flagged. When it broke out of the flag I was watching the tape for the speed of red prints and lower asking prices. It was pretty noisy so I didn't read it it very well but I scaled out half my position at 7.19 and the remaining half at 7.03 when it couldn't hold 7.20s. Putting a limit order above 7.20 level and keeping it there would have secured a better scale out because I got a bit to greedy and trailed it higher once 7.20s had been broken. Also comparing the chart with tape around the 3rd green candle as this was a likely place it would pullback after struggling to climb once the $7.00 level had been broken.
