The setup: short the opening range.

The result: It went against me. The idea was flawed. It's not a good idea to short a gapper in the morning unless you've got good evidence of weakness. It was quite extended, but other than that there was strength from the gap up and hype surrounding the company's PR. I might have been biased against this stock.
