I had the perfect plan for this but I executed it VERY poorly.
Breakout price: $0.85
Risk price: $0.75
Target: $1.15
After the breakout, the stock started consolidating and I paniced and sold for a TINY gain. Pretty much I wanted to make sure I was green after I paid my commisions. This was dumb, because the stock did not even break the breakout price. After a bit of consolidation the stock literally spiked to my target price. This was have been a 3:1 RR trade and rewarded me with $30 instead I took $0.95.
Either way I need to look at the big picture. These patterns work and I just need to have the conviction.
I thought the trade was no good because after the initial spike past the breakout level, it could not break past the $0.93 and it was making lower highs and also making higher lows, until it eventually just started to fade. I have seen this happen a few times and the stock just crashes and I wanted to avoid that. I need to remember that is waht a risk level is for!!
Anyway good learnings from this trade. Hopefully I can catch the full move another time.
